Welcome to the South West in Bloom Website
Welcome to the Southwest in Bloom web site. Now that you have found us if you are or if you are not already a ‘bloomer’ I hope you will stay with us. We are a freindly bunch and we don’t bite, but are enthusiastic and are always ready to welcome new entries.
Get Involved - Your first steps
Are you a group of residents, a few local neighbours wanting to improve your local streets or focus on a particular project. If so, you will fit into our "It's Your Neighbourhood" awards category. This is for resident led groups cleaning and greening up their patch, read more about neighbourhood awards.

We held a very good Spring Seminar in Truro on Thursday 23rd February .
Details of the talks at the Seminar will be on the web site shortly.
Entry forms for SW in Bloom and It's your neighbourhood have been sent out with our Spring Newsletter.
We would welcome you to return these as soon as possible as this will help in the judges organising their programme.
You can also enter On line if this is more convenient, but feel free to send in your entry by the normal postal entry form.
We have had some reports of difficulty in phoning the Secretary Jo Jukes. If you do have a problem you can phone the Chairman Jon Wheatley on 07879 640518. Leave a message if you get the answer phone.

Receive SW in Bloom Flag to fly in their Town or Village.
South West in Bloom have awarded twenty three Gold Flags to the recipients of the SWIB Gold awards at their annual prize giving at Newquay on 15th Sept 2011. These flags are intended to be flown within the winning Communities as quality assessment indicator to the local community and Tourists to the South West in recognition of the highest standard of achievement in the areas of Horticulture the environment and Community Participation. It is hoped that many other Communities will set out to achieve this award and that the slogan The Golden South West will be further enhanced. It is hoped that the recipients will maximise the potential of this new award in celebration of their having reached the highest level, that of GOLD. Unlike other awards which are largely site specific this award reflects the whole community
